In traditional, classical terms, Gail Springer is a lyric soprano. But by intent and experience, she is a versatile vocalist, embracing a wide range of singing styles from Bach to rock. She has performed chamber music, musical comedy, rock music, 20th century song, new music, extended vocal techniques, jazz, sacred choral and chamber music, 19th century arts song, cabaret, and songs for weddings and bar mitzvahs.

Because of her experience as a musical director and pianist, she brings an attractive combination of vocal, musical, and theatrical skills to any musical collaboration. Gail is especially interested in working closely with composers who are writing new music for her voice.
