Gail Springer in 2018-2019

Spring was the time for travel and exploration in National Parks: Patagonia’s Los Glaciares and Torres del Paine, and our own Yosemite, Grand Canyon, and Sequoia. I’ve also been writing, and just finished an historical fantasy novella.  I’ll let everyone know when it is available.

I’m looking forward to singing this season with some of my favorite chamber musicians, Serenata of Santa Fe’s Pamela Epple, oboe, Ruxandra Marquardt, violin, Alice Norris, viola, Sally Guenther, cello, and Debra Ayers, piano. The Worlds Apart concert is scheduled for October 21st at 3pm at First Presbyterian Church in Santa Fe, and will feature music by Martinu, Tower, Puts, Taillefairre, and Santa Fe composer, Ron Strauss. I will sing a delightful piece by Kevin Puts, and also reprise A La Luna, a very cosmic song cycle we presented in 2016.  A La Luna is written by Ron Strauss for soprano, violin, viola, cello and oboe.  The romantic lyrics are from the poems of Spanish 19th century Galician poet, Rosaliade Castro.

Join me again on December 5th for Sounds of Light, a very special winter soiree at a private home, presented by Serenata of Santa Fe.  It is an annual pleasure to warm up a cold evening with our wonderful audiences and beautiful music. There will be delicious sweet and savory treats afterwards, and of course, wine.  Musicians will be myself singing soprano, Pamela Epple, oboe, David Felberg, violin, Nathan Salazar, piano, and Sally Guenther, cello.
